It's been a while since I have posted on here.  Things just get crazy sometimes or I don't really have anything to share.  That's not true, I think of things all the time that I should write and then I just don't take the time to sit down and do it.

R&R is coming soon and I can't wait!  I find myself fantasizing every day about what it will be like when Chad is home, not only on R&R but for good (until the next deployment anyway).  I miss him so much it's unreal.  After awhile it just becomes routine but then he does something little like text me that he's back safely and it totally makes my heart melt and my day brighter.  It's the little things that keep the love alive during a lengthy separation.

I watched Army Wives tonight and it was extremely sad.  I was, of course, crying like a baby because it really hits home.  Whenever there's a loss that we hear about it makes you thank the powers that be that it wasn't your soldier because it very well could be.

I love you honey, see you soon!!!!!

Walk Kansas

This year I am participating in Walk Kansas.  I’m on a team of 6 individuals and our goal is 6 hours of activity per week per team member.  That adds up to 24 miles a week because 15 minutes of activity is considered 1 mile.  In addition to tracking our exercise minutes (miles), we are also to track our fruit and veggie intake each day.  At the end of the week we must report our numbers to our team captain.

Right now I exercise for 45 minutes 6 days a week.  I will need to add 15 minutes of exercise to each day to get my 6 hours per week.  I figure I’ll add in some extra abs, weights, and pushups and some cardio like butt kicks and jump rope and running in place.

Wish my team luck, we are called “The Fort Riley Foxes”.

Taxes

My last post was about the funk I was in.  It's strange how one day i'll be feeling about as low as I can go and the next i'm feeling pretty good.  I hate bouncing back and forth, it's draining.

I got our taxes done yesterday on post.  The guy that did them said I had to get a sheet (like the one I already had) except with both buyers and sellers signatures on it for our house.  So I called the place that we closed and went there this morning to pick up a copy of what I thought it was that I needed.  Luckily I checked the copy before I left the town because it was what I already had.  I called the office back from my car and the woman told me that there is no such document with both signatures on it.  There is our form with my husband's signature on it and the seller's form with their signatures on it.  She could give me our form but not theirs for privacy reasons.  Totally understandable.  So she gives me a copy of ours and we're on our way.

When we get home I decide to look up exactly what I need online.  Turns out not all states have the same requirements when buying a house, therefore the paperwork requirements are also different to claim the First Time Homebuyers Credit.  What I have should work according to the web.  The sucky part is that I have to mail our taxes in this year, we can't e-file because of the homebuyers credit so it will take twice as long to get them back.  Not that it really matters as we have no big plans for it.
