FOR TODAY...November 23, 2009

Outside my window...it is still dark but peaceful.

I am thinking...about my day and what needs to be done.

I am thankful for...my new table that we can all fit around.

From the kitchen...tacos for dinner.

I am wearing...my snowflake pj's at the moment.

I am creating...a special knitted scarf.

I am going...to take Samuel to school.

I am reading...Hunted by P.C. Cast and Kristen Cast

I am hoping...that we can make it to Missouri safely on Wednesday.

I am hearing...the morning news and one of Eli's toys.

Around the house...Christmas set up is in full swing.

One of my favorite things...Christmas lights.

A few plans for the rest of the week: Samuel has a Thanksgiving feast tomorrow at school and Addison has preschool and tumbling. Wednesday we're heading to Missouri to be with my family for Thanksgiving.

New table

Chad was still putting chairs together when I snapped this pic last night. This morning there are 2 chairs on this end of the table as well as the 4 on the sides. The other 2 are going to stay in the box until we need them.

My ornament centerpiece.....

Seriously, tell me what you think. I just don't think it looks right for some reason. I had some green beads that I tried to put in there with the balls but the beads kind of drowned out the balls.

100% finished knitting project #1

My first knitting project.....

I finished up my first knitted scarf today. I haven't added the fringe to the ends yet (need to get more yarn) but I wanted to share a picture or two.

Monday- Quesadillas

Tuesday- Steak on the grill with potatoes and green beans

Wednesday- Baked Spaghetti with rolls

Thursday- Marinated Grilled Chicken with noodles

Friday- Mini pigs n blankets with macaroni and cheese

Saturday- Beef stew

Sunday- Chicken and Rice

It's raining, it's pouring......

I forgot to snap some pictures of my creepy crawly bugs last night. They turned out great and were extremely simple and quick to make.

We have been getting rain and storms all night and it's still going. We are supposed to have Trunk or Treat tonight from 4-6 p.m. at Chad's unit, however, it may be cancelled. If it's cancelled it really will be sad because we were all looking forward to it. There were to be 2 haunted houses, one for the kids and one for the adults, plus trick or treating in the parking lot. Baskets were to be raffled off, I actually went and bought one for our unit to raffle this morning. I guess if we don't use it, we can save it for our holiday party.

I bought a small rounded basket from Walmart and filled it with card games. I put in Skip-Bo, Phase 10, Cribbage, Monopoly Deal, a regular deck of cards, and UNO.

Guess I better get it together so I can deliver it to the unit.
