Downward Slope

R&R is officially over and we are over the halfway hump.  We are on the downward slope of this deployment!  That in itself is exciting.  What's not so exciting is the second goodbye.  After having Chad here for 2 weeks, saying goodbye again was not something we wanted to do.  I think it was harder this time than the first time.  Partly because we've already done 6 1/2 months of being apart so knowing what the other 5 months will be like is not appealing.

The kids took it harder the second time as well.  When we got home, Addison broke down in tears and then immediately drew yet another picture for daddy and we put it in the mail at 6:30 this morning.  Samuel didn't say much of anything but went straight downstairs until breakfast.  Eli has been rather oblivious minus the times he's pointed out the window and said "Da".

Every time I walk into the bedroom my stomach instantly goes into knots because I know i'll be sleeping alone tonight.  There will be no warm, manly body breathing next to me and that just plain sucks.  I want my husband back!

I got maybe a collective 2 hours of sleep last night.  I was out of bed by 3:20 a.m. and everyone was in the car by 4:30 a.m..  Today will be a long tiring day and i'm hoping to catch a nap at some point.  In the meantime, I will be cleaning or reading.  Actually, probably both.  I have two library books that are due back next week that need to get read.

We have already heard from Chad this morning which was nice.  We miss you already honey!!!!
