This is one of our favorite meals and it's not hard to see why.

1 lb. hamburger
1/2 lb. sausage (you can use hot if you like but I use regular)
1/2 c. chopped green pepper
1 c. chopped onion
1 6oz. can tomato paste
1 8oz. can tomato sauce
1/4 c. grated Parmesan
1/4 tsp. oregano
1/4 tsp. garlic salt
1/4 tsp. rosemary (optional)
1 6oz. package Mozzarella cheese slices
1 loaf of French or Italian bread

Remove sausage from casing. Cook hamburger, sausage, onion, green pepper. Drain. Add the rest of the ingredients and simmer 10 minutes.

Cut the top, in one big slice, off the loaf of bread. Cut the bread out of the middle, making a shell. Line the bread shell with mozzarella. Pour in the filling. Top with more mozzarella. Put the "lid" slice of bread back on. Wrap in foil and bake at 400 degrees for 10-15 minutes.
