Today our house adventure officially starts! Let me back up here and tell the whole story because I plan on blogging about it throughout the entire process.
On March 18th we decided to look at an 80 year old house in a very little town. We fell in love with it immediately. The woodwork is amazing and the house is full of interesting nooks and crannies. We knew we wanted it. We went away that weekend on a marriage retreat, which was nice because it gave us the weekend to think about the house and what all it would entail by buying it. We got home Sunday still wanting to buy the house.
On Monday we contacted the agent and asked some more questions. By Tuesday we had a agreed upon price and Wednesday morning we signed our part of the contract. My mom and stepdad came in on Friday and we took them out to see the house. I took tons of pictures so i'll share some of them soon. The seller signed the contract this past Saturday so today the ball should start rolling.
We are estimated to close in mid-May, Chad is hoping for sooner than that. We're excited! There's lots of work to be done when we first move in, but we've already started pricing things and making our priority list. We're hoping we'll have time to do some things before we actually move in, just because it would be easier. It's definitely a fixer-upper.
