The countdown has begun! It's only 10 1/2 hours until midnight and 2010. Does that intimidate you? It sort of does me. There's so much I already want to accomplish in 2010, i'm wondering where i'm going to find the time.
One of my main goals for 2010 is to get healthy, really truly healthy. On Monday January 4th my mom and I are going to start the 30 Day Shred. It's a Jillian Michael's DVD. There are 3 levels so I figure you're supposed to stay in each level for 10 days before moving to the next one. I've marked my calendar with my start date and the dates that I will go up a level. I'm really not looking to lose weight, although a little more might be nice, but I really want to tone up and get in the habit of exercise. I haven't come up with a plan for after the shred, but i'm thinking i'll start doing my Sports Active on the Wii again. I really liked those workouts and they were great!
I need to make a trip to the library and see if I can find anything on low carb/low cholesterol diets. I have very high cholesterol which i'm on medication for and I would like to get off the medication as soon as possible. I'm also supposed to be eating a low carb diet anyway because I have PCOS (polycystic ovaries).
I know lean proteins, veggies, fruits, and whole grains make a good diet but i'm the type of person who needs specific foods listed for me to choose from or else I get overwhelmed and fed up. I have an appointment with the nutritionist on the 19th and i'm hoping to get all my questions answered.
Here's to a healthy me in 2010!

Now what?!
Christmas is over and New Year's is fast approaching. Do you get the post holiday let down? I don't usually. I'm actually debating on whether to start taking down decorations or wait until after New Year's. It would be easier to just get it done because Eli is always getting into the tree and trying to take off ornaments and lights. Plus it would be nice to have my living room back. But I will miss the lights.
What will you miss most about Christmas?
I'm trying to work on my word for 2010. I only have a few days to pick it out so I guess I better get busy. I also need to start working on my goals for the new year.

Snow Day!
The snow started last Sunday evening and then stopped during the night. Monday night it started again and we got at least 8 inches, probably more between that night and Tuesday night. There was no school on Wednesday.
Scarf time!
I made Samuel and Addison fleece scarves yesterday. Here are some pictures. They didn't turn out quite the way I wanted them to so I may try to redo them as I have enough fabric left.

Backgrounds
I just want to plug The Cutest Blog on the Block. They offer loads of free backgrounds that are super cute. I always have trouble choosing just one. Please visit them for all your background needs. They also do banners and other things as well.

What's your word for 2010?
On MHH the past couple years we've each picked a word to represent our goals for the coming year. I find resolutions to be too demanding because, let's face it, most of us fail. I prefer to write down goals that I hope to accomplish during the year and if I don't complete them, at least I know that i've been working towards them.
I haven't yet picked my word for 2010. Last year I created a phrase and I tried to live by that phrase and work on my goals that encompassed it. I have several ideas for a "word" for 2010 but I haven't picked one yet. It's more difficult than one might think to pick one word to represent yourself for an entire year.
